Swisscontrol Voice Switch Passes One Year Mark

January, 1999 - The Voice Switch delivered by Palomar Products to the Area Control Center at the Zurich, Switzerland Airport celebrated one year of continuous, uninterrupted service. The Palomar voice switch achieved a remarkable 100% availability during the first year of operation. This is virtually unheard of in the initial installation of any product.

Swisscontrol Programs Manager Peter Kunzli stated, "We are very pleased that we stayed with the Palomar switch. There were times that it seemed that we were not going to be able to overcome the problems, however, we could not be happier with the performance of the equipment." He has volunteered to provide tours of his facility to anyone interested in seeing the Palomar equipment operating.

We are very proud of this accomplishment and especially wish to thank Art Webb and his people for his fine support of this excellent product this past year. Additional thanks goes to Kevin Wilson, Mark Wolfinbarger, Tim Maier, Fred Ekstein, and the design engineering team which suffered through those very difficult years.
