Palomar Products Receives ISO-9001 Recognition

Huntington Beach, California -- July 1, 1999--EAQA, INC. has approved Palomar Products, Inc. Quality Management System for registration to ISO 9001. This award was the completion of a process, which started in January of 1998 upon moving to Rancho Santa Margarita from Carlsbad. The process included a total revamping of company procedures and addition of new procedures. Training of employees to the standard was held over a three-month period. Several customers assisted PPI with consultation on, and critiquing of procedures. The customers also assisted by performing impartial audits of the quality system with their trained quality representatives. A pre-audit by the registrar was performed prior to the formal evaluation that was held during June of this year.

Palomar Products' management team is proud of the work performed by the organization in achieving this recognition, and are confident that continued performance to the ISO 9001 standard will be another tool by which the company can provide the customer with more value in their products. The management team looks at this initial approval as a beginning of a new process by which continued assessment of the Management System will improve on its systems, processes and products.
